FAQ
-
How regularly should my piano be tuned?
Generally at least twice a year.
For new pianos about 3-4 times in the first year due to string stretching and settling.
For heavily used pianos every 3-4 months.
After moving or Climate changes, as soon as the piano acclimates which is typically 2-4 weeks after a move or significant humidity/ temperature shift.

Why does having my piano tuned matter?
It maintains a proper pitch of 440Hz, which allows you to play with other instruments or alongside your favorite tracks (that is of course if the track you’re playing alongside have their instruments as well tuned to 440Hz).
Having it tuned to 440Hz as well prevents long term damage to the strings and soundboard.
A piano being tuned to 440Hz ensures consistent sound quality and playability.
Even if the paino isn’t played often, the wood and strings are still affected by humidity and temperature change, so regular tuning helps your investment.

What is Piano Regulation?
While tuning adjusts the sound of your piano, regulation focuses on how it feels to play.
Over time, the mechanical parts inside your piano—known as the action—can shift due to wear, humidity, and regular use. Regulation is the process of fine-tuning these parts to restore the piano’s touch, responsiveness, and overall playability.
